And your EIC needs to note it as a new circuit. The supply authority notification isn't mandatory for standard domestic installs but some DNOs want a G99/G98 notification if it's above 3.68kW single phase. Most domestic 7kW units are above that so check with the local DNO.
Under BS7671:2018 Amendment 2, a dedicated circuit from the consumer unit is required for EV charge points, and you need a Type 2 RCD at the origin. You can use an existing board if it has capacity and you install the right protective devices, but it must be a dedicated circuit (no other loads on it). Also don't forget OZEV registration if it's a new install under the EVHS grant scheme.
Cheers both. Didn't know about the DNO notification at 3.68kW. That would have caught me out. Will check with UKPN before booking the install.
