Cheers Phil, got my CSCS diary but been slack on daily entries. Will get the lads to start logging properly. Already 3 weeks behind and it's only going to get worse.
From a scaffolding perspective the delays are usually because the yard is absolutely rammed. Every project in the country seems to have started at once. Doesn't help you but it's not usually the local gang choosing to be late.
Get your site diary entries in order pronto. Every day you're stood waiting, write it down with times and who witnessed it. Then write a formal delay notice to the main contractor citing the scaffold delay as a 'relevant event' under whatever contract you're on (JCT I'd imagine). Don't let them pin this on you without a paper trail.
EOT won't mean money but it protects you from LADs. Make sure any notice is sent in the timeframe required by your subcontract, usually 28 days of becoming aware. If you've already missed that window, get them in now regardless and argue it later.
